SAVIEZ VOUS QUE?
- L'allaitement
permet de combler les trois besoins fondamenteaux du bébé:
nourriture, affection et securité.
- Le colostrum
est le premier 'vaccin' que la nature prévoit pour les bébés.
- L'allaitement
peut prévenir les hémorragies après l'accouchement.
- La plupart
des douleurs et crevasses sont causées par une mauvaise position
du bébé au sein.
- Certain jours,
les bébés peuvent réclamer le sein plus souvent
pour répondre à leurs besoins croissants.
- On ne peut
pas 'gâter' un bébé en le prenant souvent, en
le cajolant ou en l 'allaitant à la demande.
- Le lait maternel
change au cours de la tétée, selon le moment de la
journée et en fonction de l'âge du bébé.
- L'allaitement
prolongé diminue les risques de cancer du sein chez la mère
et de diabète juvénile chez l'enfant.
Nos groupes locaux se réunissent chaque mois partout dans la
monde.
Ils
sont animés par une animatrice bénévole, formée
par LLL.

Place pour les voitures d’enfants dans le département est limité, donc
pensez au porte- bébé/poussette.
Ce n’est pas possible d’entrer dans l’hôpital avec les voitures. Pour garer : il exist un parking dessus l’hôpital et c’est possible de garer sur
la route principal et dans les petits rues à côté.

L'accueil se fait dès 10h, pour démarrer les réunions
à 10h30. Elles se terminent vers 12h00 et se poursuivent autour
d'une collation où nous partageons ce que nous aurons apporté,
(tartes, salades, quiches etc. {Possibilité de réchauffer
vos plats}, des fruits, gâteaux fait maison).
Il est préférable
de téléphoner avant chaque réunion pour confirmation.

Did you know
that?
- Breastfeeding
allows you to meet the three basic needs of your baby: food, affection
and security .
- Nature has
provided your baby's first 'vaccination' with colostrum.
- Breastfeeding
can help prevent haemorrhage after birth.
- The majority
of sore and cracked nipples can be solved by correctly positioning
baby at the breast.
- There are days
when baby may ask for the breast more often in order to meet his
need for your milk as he grows.
- You will not
'spoil' your baby by regularly picking him up, cuddling him and
breastfeeding him on demand.
- Breast milk
changes in nutrient proportions: as your baby suckles, according
to the time of day, and according to the age of your baby.
- Long term breastfeeding
lowers the risk of breast cancer for the mother and of juvenile
diabetes for her baby.
Local LLL Groups meet each month all over the world in 65 countries.
They are always led by a LLL trained and certified Leader. LLL Celebrates

TO:
prepare for breastfeeding
.breastfeed discreetly in public
.know that your baby is getting enough milk
.increase your milk supply if necessary
.introduce solids and when to do so
.avoid or cure sore nipples
.include the father in baby's life, etc.
WHY:
.breastmilk is the best infant food
.breastmilk is lighter in colour at the beginning of a feed
.the World Health Organisation and the American Academy of Pediatricians
recommends breastmilk only for the first 6 months.
.baby might later only have a bowel movement once in 3 or 4 days
At
LLL meetings, you will meet other mothers who share your feelings about
breastfeeding.
LLL
is here to support you if you feel criticised , by helping you to feel
confident about your breastfeeding and mothering decisions.

Outpatients department for babies
Around the back of the main building

Space for parking prams inside the outpatients department is limited, so
you might prefer to use your baby carrier or folding buggy.
You will not be able to park your car in the hospital grounds; parking is
possible on the main road, the side of the hospital on the street and in
the small car park area below the hospital.

open at 10h, and the meetings begin at 10h30. We finish around 12h00.
Plan to bring a healthy snack to share (cheeses, flans, salads, breads,
fruits, homemade cakes etc) for the "bring and share" lunchtime
meal that will follow the meetings.

accredited La Leche League Leaders worldwide.

Babies are always
welcome at LLL ...
Please RSVP your toddlers however, as space for them is limited. (Hostesses
are not necessarily prepared for many toddlers.) Supervision of toddlers
and 'clean-up' after them is mother's responsibility.

theme of our meeting, your questions are always given priority
