I would like to tell you
the funny story of how my son, Zeno, weaned himself. He had just turned
three when we went on vacation to Greece. At the time he still nursed
to sleep almost every night, but my milk supply was dwindling. One night
when we were lying in bed breastfeeding, he suddenly let go and complained,
"Mom, nothing is coming out any more. Go to the kitchen, get milk,
and pour it in there!" I tried not to laugh as I explained, and
he never asked to breastfeed again.
