We received word this morning that a video news release (VNR) announcing the initiation of the national WIC breastfeeding media campaign will be broadcast by satellite this Thursday, August 7, between 4:15 and 4:30 Eastern Daylight Time.

The video news release will include footage about the WIC breastfeeding campaign and coverage of a campaign kick-off event to take place this Wednesday, August 6, at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. The VNR will be broadcast via satellite, and local TV stations can download the satellite feed for broadcast at a later time. Television stations need the following coordinates in order to download the VNR.

Time: Starts 4:15 p.m. ET and ends 4:30 p.m.
Satellite: Galaxy 9, C-band
Transponder 1
Vertical polarity Downlink frequency: 3720: MHZ

Audio at 6.2 and 6.8

We thought this resource might be of interest to your organization. We have notified all state WIC breastfeeding coordinators about this resource and urged them to contact local television stations to download the VNR. We understand USDA is contacting states as well.
