Do you want to learn the
secret of getting a good night’s sleep? Would you like to rekindle
the romance in your relationship? Does the father of your children want
to learn more on the art of fathering?
Attend the LLLI Conference
July 2-5, 2005, at the Washington Hilton and Towers, Washington DC,
USA to find the answers to these and many other questions. Below is
merely a glimpse into of the sessions we have planned for Conference-goers.
The No-Cry Sleep Solution:
Gentle Ways to Help Your Baby Sleep through the Night
If you or the mothers in
your Group are suffering through sleepless nights but don’t want
to listen to the heartless advice to let your baby "cry it out,"
attend the session "The No-Cry Sleep Solution." Elizabeth
Pantley will show you how it is entirely within your grasp to help your
baby fall asleep peacefully and stay asleep all night long.
This popular author will
lead you through a 10-step, easy to follow, process and shed new light
on your baby’s sleep patterns and help set realistic goals. You
will learn how to analyze, assess, and improve your baby’s sleep
patterns using sleep logs and hear about a variety of sleep ideas that
fit every parenting style.
How to Be Cherished: A Guide
to Having the Love You Desire
Marilyn Graman, author and
psychotherapist, will lead another solution-oriented session. She will
tell you how to have the love you desire during her session "How
to Be Cherished." This experienced and popular speaker will offer
insights on how to perk up an already good relationship, provide answers
to specific problems, and explain why a woman is incredibly powerful
in her partner’s life.
Graman intends her presentation
to be for women in all stages of a relationship and will offer a new
model for relationships by recognizing women’s intrinsic power
and revealing the deep desire men have to please their partners. "Your
man wants you to feel good for two reasons," explains Graman. "He
knows his life is easier when you are happy. And when you feel happy
he feels like a hero."
Fatherhood
While you attend Graman’s
session, you can encourage your husband to attend Jack Petrash’s
session on "Navigating the Terrain of Childhood," which will
be offered in the same time slot. Jack Petrash, popular speaker in the
United States and Canada, will offer a developmental roadmap for discipline
as he discusses ideas from his new book, Navigating the Terrain of
Childhood, which will be published in 2004.
Petrash, who is devoted to
meeting the deeper needs of children, will also present a special session
for fathers,"Lessons on the Art of Fathering." He is the author
of Covering Home: Lessons on the Art of Fathering from the Game of
Baseball. During his session, he will identify three important stages
of childhood: the early innings, the middle innings, and the late innings.
He also will discuss "working both sides of the plate"—how
to work with one’s spouse. Petrash believes fathers can "start
a league of their own" by joining a father’s support group.
Come to the LLLI Conference
to learn, to network, have fun, and enjoy the experience of being enveloped
in a breastfeeding world.
