Leader Recognized for Her LLL Service by the US Military

Staff Sergeant Lenore Hackenyos received the United States Armed Forces Volunteer Service Medal from her Commander Colonel Timothy Thomson. The medal was awarded to Lenore, a public affairs specialist in the Air Force Reserve, for her 10 years of volunteer service as a La Leche League Leader. She was accredited in Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1991.
Currently a District Advisor in Eastern Pennsylvania, USA, Lenore writes "I give a lot of credit to La Leche League for helping me develop skills I have been able to use in many areas of my life. I got the job in public affairs because I had worked as the Area Leaders' Letter Editor for LLL of Eastern Pennsylvania, USA." Lenore has four children, ages 5, 7, 10 and 12, and will graduate in May 2002 with her undergraduate degree in organizational management.
