Breastfeeding Help Lines Worldwide
Your donation can help fund:
- toll-free mother-to-mother support via national help lines worldwide where accredited LLL volunteer Leaders provide help in their native language.
Information Technology
Your donation can help fund:
- video clips with basic breastfeeding information on the LLL Web site;
- additional language links for the LLL Web site;
- a regular global Internet radio show hosted by a LLLI Leader;
- technology upgrades and training for the LLLI office staff.
Accreditation of New LLLI Leaders Worldwide
Your donation can help fund the educational resources used to accredit volunteer LLLI Leaders worldwide, continuing the support LLL has offered to breastfeeding mothers for more than 50 years.
External Relations and Advocacy
Your donation can help establish LLLI as a proactive global presence for breastfeeding in the international maternal/child health and nutrition community. Your donation can help fund:
- LLLI representation at internationally focused meetings and conferences with various organizations – UNICEF, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA);
- LLLI work with the CORE Group (Child Survival Collaborations and Resources) on activities related to breastfeeding and child survival.

Worldwide Marketing and Public Relations
Your donation can help fund:
- special initiatives to meet populations currently underserved (teen mothers, single mothers, low income, and employed mothers);
- public relations packets for use in advocacy, sponsorship, and promotions;
- information packets for breastfeeding mothers postpartum in various languages.
Translations of LLLI Resources
Your donation can help fund:
- the translation of many online and print publications in a variety of languages, including information sheets, pamphlets, periodicals, and books.
LLLI Board of Directors Education and Development Fund
Your donation can help fund:
- strategies for effective Board Members;
- orientation sessions for new Board Members;
- sessions on fundraising awareness for Board Members.
It’s Not Easy Being Green
Your donation can help the LLLI headquarters in Schaumburg, IL USA begin the process of “going green.” Since breastfeeding is one of the “greenest” things a mother can do, the staff wants to ensure that practices at the office reflect the green LLL philosophy. Your gift can help fund:
- energy efficient lighting fixtures;
- recycled paper for Publications, mailings, and office use;
- ongoing up-to-date technology that supports the use of electronic files rather than paper;
- support of products and vendors who practice the conservation of natural resources
Other LLL Entity
Please use this designation for general donations for LLL entities other than LLLI and specify which entity you wish to receive your donation in the Comments box on the donation form. There is a 15% administrative fee plus any applicable wire transfer fee charge for this service. A donation to LLLI for an entity must be $100.00 or more.
